Treasury is responsible for the cash and investment management activities of the AARP enterprise. This includes maintaining sufficient liquidity for operating needs, maximizing earnings on investments within policy guidelines and efficiently processing daily transactions.

The Investment Analyst assists with the management of a broadly diversified portfolio including investments in various asset classes such as public equity, fixed income, hedge funds, private equity, real assets and private credit. Compile data and prepare reports on portfolio valuations, holdings, fees, other investment information, for use by investment staff, committees, and boards. Conduct quantitative and qualitative due diligence on existing and prospective funds.


Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, and evaluate investment opportunities in various asset classes leading to preparation of investment recommendations.
  • Assist in due diligence by coordinating manager meetings, preparing relevant reports in advance of investment manager meetings, attending annual meetings or onsite meetings, and documenting meeting notes.
  • Conduct quantitative performance/risk analysis on portfolio and investments.
  • Conduct research on trending topics by gathering and summarizing data, writing whitepapers.
  • Prepare investment materials for Investment Committee members, Board members, and internal/external stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between the investment team and external consultants in order to prepare monthly and quarterly data feeds needed by our consultants.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of management and stakeholders.
Preferred:
  • CFA or CFE candidate

Hybrid Work Environment

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
